Dr Wang has a BSc degree (equivalent to BSc (Hons) in Australia) in applied mathematics from Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering (now Wuhan University) and a PhD degree in Numerical Analysis from Trinity College, University of Dublin (TCD). He was with Tritech Ltd, a Dublin based software development company for 3 years as a senior software engineer and technical director. Dr Wang moved to Australia in 1992 to take up a joint position of Research Associate by the School of Mathematics and School of Engineering, University of New South Wales. From early 1995 to June 1999 he was a lecturer in School of Mathematics & Statistics , Curtin University of Technology. He is now a Professorial Fellow at The University of Western Australia.
