Fractint is a program which runs on PC's and can be used to generate your own much faster than you can get them off the web. Try the last sites for the software.

Fractals arise in the study of non-linear dynamical systems; it is OK to goggle at the pictures a bit, but the interesting questions are what do they mean. Sometimes the answer is "nothing much". For some explanation of how these fractals are produced, go to Stilsons Page.

You don't get to study non-linear dynamics until after you have done some linear dynamics- inother words the theory of ordinary differential equations.
