The Matlab labs were produced by G.Keady with permission of PWS/Brooks-Cole follow the Chapter ordering of the BrooksCole (PWS) "Advanced Engineering Mathematics" text by O'Neil. The permission for the use of the Matlab labs *at UWA* was unconditional. The original document from ITP/PWS approving the production of the labs is here
There are lab books for
Maple and Mathematica too.
These printed books (ISBN 0-534-94323-3 and 0-534-94325-X)
contain at the Copyright statement:
"Copyright: PWS, 1995.
Instructors of classes using ADVANCED ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS
by Peter V. O'Neil may reproduce materials for classroom use.
Otherwise no part of this book may be reproduced,
stored in a retrieval system, or transcribed,
in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying,
recording or otherwise - without the permission of
PWS Publishing Company."
G.Keady has copyright of the Matlab labs (though would grant it to Brooks/Cole-PWS provided continuing use at UWA remained possible, unconditionally). For other universities, the same copyright conditions as in the preceding paragraph apply to the Matlab labs produced by G.Keady, with the additional permission that the Matlab materials may also be used with classes using other BrooksCole (or PWS) Maths texts such as that by Harman, Dabney and Richert.
No guarentees to the correctness of the codes are given. In particular, GK, the author of materials at this site, does not always have access to latest releases.
