2001 Sem 1 course.

Note the year given above. I will be lecturing 3A2 again in 2010 but it is ages (9 years) since I last lectured it. Around Feb 2010, these pages will be adapted to the requirements of the 2010 unit. Between 2001 and 2009, the lecturers were usually Les Jennings or Song Wang. Song Wang was the 3A2 lecturer in 2009. Les Jennings also maintains pages on 3A2 associated with the years he has lectured it.

  If you are a CAS - Maple or Mathematica - user you can probably get by with just using it: give a miss to the Matlab.
  If you are not a CAS user, your lecturers suggest that you use Matlab/Octave principally and learn a little - at least a reading knowledge of - at most ONE of Maple or Mathematica.
