Tues 8 Dec 2008  ANZIAMWA  Annual General Meeting minutes:
Held 5.30 Common Room Maths and Stats.
Present: Graeme Hocking (in the chair) , Kevin Judd, 
Andrew Bassom, Melanie Roberts, Thomas Stemier, Grant Keady, 
Nev Fowkes, Des Hill, Larry Forbes, Mark Lucas, Miccal MATTHEWS.

Apologies: Duncan Farrow

We welcomed a new member Miccal MATTHEWS and also our regular visitor Larry Forbes

Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted.

Treasurer:  Des reported that we are  $100 in the black. 
(We received $400 from the parent body at the beginning of the year.)

Graeme reported on the year's activities. 
There were 4 meetings/seminars presented.

Graeme will present a report to the parent body and we will ask for 
our usual $400 to cover next year's activities.


Office bearers were reelected unopposed:
Graeme president, Des treasurer, Nev secretary, Grant Web maintainer.


The first meeting in the new year will be held during the second week of the semester. 
Nev will arrange for a speaker and will inform members as usual.

The meeting closed at 6.05. 

After the meeting we had  5 minute presentations from some of those present. 
We agreed this procedure worked well. 
The members who did not present will present next year in a similar session.


These presentations ended at 7.30 and we went out for Chinese.
