Dive 98

30 December 1999 on wreck of the HMAS Swan, Dunsborough, Western Australia.

Max depth 30.5 m, bottom time 38 min.
Visibility 10 m, bottom temp 19 C.

Buddy: Dyanna (divemaster).

Third dive on this site with the good people of Cape Dive. Got ragged mercilessly for forgetting to put my gear bag onto the truck and keeping everyone waiting. Dyanna made me write that in.

Choppy at surface but calm underneath. Visibility poorer, lots of plant matter.

More fun exploring corridors. No big pelagic fish around. Amazing how much fixed life there is inside already. Some quite large sponges in the corridors and some rooms with a current.

Large school of globefish at the bow. I didn't know globefish schooled!

This was a difficult group of customers. Despite Dyanna's pleas the group split up and went off in different directions. At end of dive, got paired up with another diver who also had plenty of air left. This guy had no idea about the buddy system and was a danger.

air: in 230, out 70
rubber: Radiator, 5mm hooded vest, 5mm wetsuit
tank: 95 cu ft aluminium
weight: 18 lb.
